Banana Bread made from Scratch

When you have over ripe bananas, do not throw them away. Making banana bread is good way to make use of those over ripe bananas. Banana bread is a quick bread that does not require any technical skills or tedious kneading to make it. This recipe is so simple and easy that a beginner would be able to produce a perfect loaf at first try. It is that simple! 

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F/180 degrees C. Grease loaf pan and set aside.
  • Prep the dry ingredients. In a bowl, add flour, salt and baking soda and mix to combine. Set aside.
  • Peel and mash the bananas in another bowl. After mashing the bananas properly, add brown sugar, vanilla extract, melted butter and mix to combine. Then add the beaten eggs and mix until it is well incorporated.
  • In a mixing bowl, sift in the dry ingredients, then add the wet ingredients. Mix to combine, and try not to over beat the batter.
  • Pour batter into greased pan, smooth the top and bake for 50 - 60 minutes. After 50 minutes, check with a toothpick and if it does not come out clean then bake for another 5 - 10 minutes.
  • Once done, cool on a rack.



Ingredients: 

2 cups All Purpose flour

 3 over ripe Bananas

 1/2 cup brown Sugar

 2  Eggs

1/2 cup melted Butter

 1 tsp baking Soda

 1/4 tsp Salt 

 1 tsp Vanilla Extract


Pan size: 9 by 5 inch
