How to Clean Snails

A lot of  people love snails but find it challenging to clean snails or feel it is tedious. Snails are very slimy and the slime can not be washed off with just water. With the right ingredients, getting rid of the slime is easy if you know what to do.

Directions

• If you have live snails, remove snail from shell.
• Alum works best but if you don't have alum, scrub the snails with lime covered with salt. The salt is abrasive and the acid from the lime help remove the slime. Rinse and repeat multiple times until the snails are no longer slimy.
• Open the snail by cutting it from the middle making sure not to cut it through. Scrub with salt and lime, rinse until clean.
